Miles to go for Flashback Friday…

This was my first Easter outfit.  It was white organdy trimmed in pink.  My Daddy picked it out and bought it for me.  My bonnet was pink with white lace and matched my outfit perfectly.  Granddaddy wanted me to have a purse, so my Grandmother crocheted a little purse for my Easter outfit out of pink thread and they tied it on my arm with pink ribbon.  We spent Easter with Aunt Jessie and all of my Bush relatives in Laurel that year.  We had a wonderful time and I met my Uncle Skillie, Aunt Elsie, Marty and Judy for the first time.

– Copied right out of my baby book…My mother wrote in my baby book in my voice, which has always been fun to read.  It’s like reading a diary of my first year of life.  Thank you for that gift mom.

Precious, Christy! I love the image in my mind of the sweet little pink purse tied to you arm with a ribbon—you were there real live baby doll.
